We know that many of you can’t wait for unattended access to be added to SetMe’s growing feature set. Rest assured that we’ll be taking your unattended experience to a completely different level by introducing significant improvements and multiple new settings that you’ve never seen or used before in FixMe.IT.
Creating such things from scratch takes time and effort. However, our team has made great progress in this direction, and today we’d like to pull back the curtain on some of the new unattended features and settings that you’re going to be able to try soon, such as:
- Preventing the remote user from removing unattended access
- Mass installing unattended access using an .msi package
- Managing user access permissions
- Allowing automatic sign-in to the unattended computer
Unattended setup page
To give you even more flexibility, we created a dedicated unattended setup page which is going to be available in the Downloads section of SetMe’s portal.
This page will allow you to configure an unattended access installer using a variety of new and improved settings.
Prevent remote user from removing unattended access
Many of you have repeatedly requested to add the ability to prevent the remote user from revoking unattended access. Great news, everyone: this option will finally be available once the unattended access feature is released.
If this setting is enabled, the remote user will not be able to remove the unattended client app from their computer without your involvement.
Mass install unattended access
Another useful addition that many of you have asked about in the past is an MSI for mass installing unattended access. Having an MSI package at hand means that you will now be able to seamlessly deploy the unattended client app on multiple remote machines.

Allow sign in to the unattended computer
With this setting, you will be able to choose whether you want to automatically sign into the remote computer without knowing its username and password. It will come in handy if you want to reboot the machine during an unattended session.
The remote user will be prompted to enter their credentials after the unattended setup is completed, which is way more convenient than requesting their username and password during a session. The credentials will be securely stored on the remote computer and not transferred anywhere.
Unattended access permissions
SetMe will allow you to choose whether you want to share your unattended computers with the rest of your team or manage them single-handedly. Rest assured that more permission options will be added in the future to provide you with even more flexibility.
Both the unattended client app and setup page have successfully passed quality assurance, and we’re currently working on implementing the redesigned unattended computer list into SetMe’s Expert Console, with more exciting new features and enhancements in the pipeline.
