Some users have recently reported that they get stuck on the Windows 10 login screen when attempting to remotely access a machine running on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (1709). Every time they enter the Windows credentials, they’re able to see the remote desktop for a second or two, but then get immediately logged out and have to type in the password again and again.
If you’re experiencing the same infinite loop, one of the known solutions to get through it is to reboot the remote computer. Note that you can do this directly from the Windows login screen itself by clicking the Power button, then selecting Restart.
Our support team is still actively investigating this strange behavior, but at this point we suspect that it’s attributed to some changes in the Fall Creators Update. Join us on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn and stay tuned for updates!
