Techinline FixMe.IT was designed for maximum ease of use, so that you could put all the hassle aside and focus on delivering high-quality, fast remote support to your customers instead. You can access most of the vital features via the Expert Toolbar located right above the Chat Panel or from the Remote Desktop Toolbar when working on the remote client’s computer.
However, there are some less obvious, but extremely useful tricks and features that you probably didn’t about.
Sharing Active Sessions
This one’s a bit tricky, because formally FixMe.IT doesn’t include a feature known as “session transfer”. However, we realize that collaboration does matter when it comes to remote support. Here’s a simple workaround that will help you share active sessions with other techs and work with them on the same remote machine simultaneously:
Switching Between Multiple Sessions
You might already know that FixMe.IT allows to run an unlimited number of concurrent support sessions with a single license. What you might have missed though is that you can easily switch between multiple running sessions. Here are the three ways to do that:
Mass Deploying the Unattended Client
Unattended access is a real time saver when you need to connect to your office machines while in the field or manage clients’ computers regardless of their physical presence. But what if you want to install the unattended access client on multiple remote workstations at once? Does FixMe.IT allow that, too? Sure it does! Read this quick guide to find out how to do that with a single psexec command.
Providing Unattended Group Names
FixMe.IT does not only allow you to install the unattended client on a single or multiple remote machines, but also lets you easily provide, edit and manage your unattended client groups right from the Expert console. Watch the video below to see it in action:
Releasing the Remote Mouse
When it comes to remote support, productivity is all about the shortcuts you use. If you need to quickly release the remote client’s mouse during the support session, simply use the Ctrl + Alt + Home combination to unlock control over the cursor. Afterwards, minimize the remote control window and return to your own desktop. This will ensure that you’re able to navigate out of the session while your client has full control over their mouse. To regain control over the remote cursor, simply click anywhere on the remote screen.
