Resolved: FixMe.IT Server Outage on December 8

What happened?

Yesterday at around 11:30 A.M. EST one of our servers responsible for launching Expert and Client applications temporarily went down. As a result, our users were unable to run FixMe.IT or refresh the unattended client list if already working in the application. However, while the server was down all existing connections were maintained. During the outage our support specialists did their best to provide the necessary assistance and respond to all related customer queries.

Has it been resolved?

Yes. Right after the server became unresponsive, we received an automated alert and began working on the issue immediately. Our team implemented a backup recovery plan within 30 minutes after the outage had started, and everything was returned back to normal around 12 P.M. EST.

(Updated) Techinline Hit by Regional Unresolved Domain Issue

We received numerous reports today about Techinline’s domain (fixme.it) currently being inaccessible.

(Updated at 12:30 PM EST, December 9th: this issue appears to be almost entirely resolved. Current DNS propogation status can be found on the following page: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/fixme.it)

Techinline Service Disrupted by Major GoDaddy Outage

Update on September 12th: Following investigation, GoDaddy has officially stated that the service outage was caused by a series of internal network events that corrupted router data tables. It was earlier believed that this disruption was caused by a Denial of Service attack (DDoS).

As you may already know, a significant share of Techinline users on both the Client’s and Expert’s ends were unable to start the Techinline application or access our homepage for a span of several hours yesterday afternoon. This down-time was caused by a massive DDoS attack on Techinline’s domain registrar, GoDaddy.

GoDaddy, one of world’s the largest domain registrars and hosting providers, was hit by an apparent DDoS attack from Anonymous, which resulted in millions of websites including Techinline being taken down. [Read more…] about Techinline Service Disrupted by Major GoDaddy Outage
