By now you all must have heard of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which goes into effect today and aims at providing EU citizens with greater control over how their personal data is collected, processed, stored and used.
We’ve already expressed our commitment to meeting the GDPR requirements in a previous article. Today, we’re excited to announce that we have updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in accordance with the key principles of GDPR, and made these documents as transparent as possible.
Here’s what’s new:
- We added more information to our Privacy Policy about the types of data we collect, and how it is processed, stored, and used.
- Added more information about the use of cookies and integration with third-party services, such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other websites which may also collect, process, store and use your data.
- Explained how our EU-based customers can manage and control the way their personal data is being stored and used.
- Updated our Terms of Service with more focus on our commitment to user data protection.
All of these modifications will go into effect starting today. Please review our updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Please also note that by continuing to use FixMe.IT and our website you agree to the updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Services.
In the coming days we’ll release more information concerning our efforts to meet the GDPR requirements. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
