As you may be aware, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will take effect on May 25, 2018. GDPR aims at providing EU-based businesses and individuals with greater control over how their personal data is being collected, processed, stored and used.
As a global remote support software vendor, Techinline is fully committed to GDPR compliance and has already taken a number of steps to protect the personal data of our customers and their end-users:
- FixMe.IT collects personal data only with the user’s explicit permission provided upon registering for the FixMe.IT service. FixMe.IT collects data as it deems appropriate strictly for the fulfillment of the contract.
- FixMe.IT relies on the latest security standards and encryption technologies to ensure that all data transmitted during a remote support session is stored temporarily in the server’s operating memory. FixMe.IT does not collect any content data and due to end-to-end encryption, cannot access the contents of a remote connection.
- The FixMe.IT service is provided using highly trusted and secure server network (Amazon) and payment processing platforms (FastSpring, Bluesnap). All our partners maintain a strict security policy with regard to personal data and have already issued their statements of compliance with GDPR.
- FixMe.IT users retain a full right to request information about the personal data stored with us and can update this information or revoke their consent to use this data at any time.
Our Terms of Services and Privacy Policy will be revised and updated according to the GDPR requirements by no later than the implementation date. We will also continue to evaluate all latest security standards and data privacy regulations in order to meet or exceed them.
