The ability to run session reports is a vital feature for any remote desktop tool on the market. It allows private IT practitioners to keep track of their own work, and helps CIOs and managers stay up-to-date on how and when the software is used by their teams. Therefore, if there’s something wrong with your organization’s support activity logs you’ll surely know about it.
Techinline FixMe.IT remote desktop application offers a simple, user-friendly reporting feature that allows you to view detailed information about past sessions, audit on-demand/unattended sessions, generate comprehensive reports and save them in HTML, PDF, Word, or XLS formats.
To get a detailed session report about all of the sessions conducted within a specified time period, there are a few steps you need to follow:
- Run the FixMe.IT Expert application and click on the My Account tab.
- Find the Session Usage Report link in the My Account form and click on it.
In the Session Usage Report form, choose From/To dates, specify a preferred Report Format, and click on the Run Report button.
As a result, you will obtain a general session usage report, which consists of:
- Specified report timeframe
- Summary of all past remote sessions (includes Number of Connections, Total Duration, and Average Session Duration)
- Details about all conducted sessions (includes Session ID, Start/End Time, Duration, Connection Details, Expert IP, and Client IP)
If you enter any comments during a remote support session, you will also be able to view them in your reports under the optional notes section. Just don’t forget to mark the Show Notes checkbox before you proceed to generating a new report.
FixMe.IT also allows you to run more customized reports: you can review details attributed to either strictly on-demand or unattended sessions, create reports based on a specific Client/Expert IP address, or request information dedicated to a particular Client Name.
