No need to visit set.me
The client application is installed locally on the remote user’s computer, which means that they will no longer need to open a browser, type in set.me, and follow your instructions on how to download and run the portable app every time they require your assistance. This will help you avoid the headache of spelling out URLs over the phone or trying to figure out which browser they’re using to download the app.
Admin rights not required
Once installed, the client app always starts with admin rights, meaning that the remote user won’t need to enter their admin password every time they run the application. You will always be able to perform all tasks that require administrator privileges on the remote computer, such as viewing the login screen, switching users, and controlling UAC prompts.
Quick access for faster connections

How to install SetMe’s Client app on a remote computer
- Go to portal.set.me > Downloads and copy the Client application setup link.
- Download and run the setup file from i.set.me on the remote computer.
On Microsoft Windows, a corresponding icon will be added to the remote computer’s desktop after the installation is completed. On macOS, the application will be added to the remote computer’s Applications and Dock menus.
