Let’s say you’re working on a remote computer and want to perform a reboot when no one’s present at the remote end. Chances are that the remote user has unsaved documents on their computer, or some app might prevent the system from restarting.
With most remote support applications, you’ll just get stuck when trying to restart the machine with no other option but to wait for the remote user to come back and help you out. But what if you’re managing an unattended computer? You’re in real trouble then.
With SetMe, you can easily perform a normal or safe mode reboot even when no one’s present at the remote end, as well as control Windows’ “Closing app and restarting screen”. You can either proceed with the restart, or cancel the operation, sign back in and manage any unsaved documents.
Watch the video to see how it works:
Right after the restart is completed, you can seamlessly control the remote computer’s login screen and switch between the available users provided that SetMe’s client app is either installed on the remote computer or is currently running in Admin mode.
We’ll be further reviewing SetMe’s new restart and reconnect functionality in upcoming blog posts, so stay tuned!
