With SetMe’s beta program now in full swing, we’re doubling our effort to add new features and introduce various improvements based on the valuable feedback you are providing. Expect to receive regular updates and announcements in the coming weeks and don’t forget to share your SetMe experience with us!
Auto-reconnect after extended idle time
We took our auto-reconnect capabilities to an unprecedented level: apart from automatically reconnecting after any reboot, you can now keep your remote connection alive after a long period of sleep or even a shutdown on either end. Whether you or the remote user is idle for up to 3 days, you will now be able to automatically reconnect and continue your work.
Don’t be alarmed if the remote user shuts down or closes the lid of their computer screen for the weekend – you’ll automatically regain access to their computer once they’re back on Monday and continue just where you left off.
Other bug fixes and enhancements:
- Added support for macOS 10.13 High Sierra to the SetMe Client application.
- Improved the High Speed image quality mode for better color rendering.
- Fixed an issue where the remote desktop window could not open if the remote user physically unplugged their monitor.
We also made a couple of UI improvements based on your feedback and requests:
- Updated the macOS permission dialog with a link to a relevant help center article.
- Clarified SetMe’s licensing structure and explained the meaning of SetMe seats on the signup page as well as within the portal’s Subscription tab.
