Today we are excited to officially introduce a modified name of our remote desktop application, formerly known as Techinline Remote Desktop. The new name, FixMe.IT, is part of our recent rebranding effort that perfectly reflects the ease of use, powerful features, seamless connectivity, and other benefits that our remote desktop application delivers to its users. To help you better understand our goals and motives, we’ve prepared a short Q&A below.
What does FixMe.IT stand for?
It’s all about the client: As most of you know, the direct URL for running our Client application is fixme.it. Whenever the client contacts you for assistance, direct them to fixme.it and within just a few clicks you’re providing the top-notch support service they need.
Simplicity: We’re confident that you and your clients will enjoy the short, yet catchy name and URL. Let’s be fair: it’s much easier to remember and introduce to your clients than Techinline. We also believe that FixMe.IT stands for high connection speed, ease of use and cost-efficiency that have always set our product apart from competing solutions.
Why change the name after all these years?
Indeed, Techinline has been on the market for more than 9 years and most of our customers have gotten used to the old name. We’ve got used to it, too. FixMe.IT, however, is much easier to remember and it better reflects the initial purpose of the product, i.e. better communicates the type of services our customers provide to their clients.
Will this rebranding effort effect your licensing/pricing policy somehow?
Not at all. Our licensing and pricing policies haven’t experienced any changes for quite a long time and we’ve got no intention to modify them in this particular case.
Will the company name and its logo remain the same?
Yes. Techinline Ltd. will continue to operate under its current corporate name, and our logo will remain exactly the same.
What has changed apart from the name?
We have updated all product information on our website, so you should no longer see a single mention of Techinline Remote Desktop there, or in any of our support or communication materials. All payment and licensing information (i.e. invoices, automated emails, etc.) will now bear the new name.
On the other hand, FixMe.IT has already been the name of the domain that many of you direct your clients to in order to run the Client application. So let’s assume that FixMe.IT is already somewhat familiar, which will certainly help you get accustomed to the new brand in no time!
If you have any questions or concerns about this decision, remember that our team is always ready to assist, so don’t hesitate to contact us directly! And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube to get all the latest news as they happen.
